3D-Contour Scan Head

With BLINK High-Speed Focuser

FARO’s 3D-Contour Scan Head featuring advanced galvanometer technology, provides superior bandwidth, accuracy, and flexibility. The 3D-Contour provides high-speed processing of large planar samples, with very small spot sizes and supports the processing of 3D samples.

BLINK dynamically maps a focal correction onto the laser beam as a function of its XY position, allowing high-speed processing of large planar samples, with very small spot sizes. BLINK combines a precision ground bearing guideway with direct voice-coil drive, resulting in a very compact, high-performance focuser.

3D-XB Scan Head

For large field/small spot

The 3D-XB 3-Axis Scan Head uses a dynamic focusing system rather than an f-theta lens to produce a flat field. It’s often used to create a large scan field with a relatively small spot. Various field and spot size combinations can be selected simply by turning a knob to adjust the working distance.

3D-Ultralight

CG optimized marker with 3D capability

No other scan head packs as much capability into a small box! The 3D-Ultralight provides the same features as the 3D-XB plus significant mass reduction. Center of gravity optimization makes it ideal for robotic arm applications. It is designed with air-cooled optics for high power and uses a dynamic focusing system to produce a flat field. Spot sizes as small as 260 µm or scan fields as large as 400 m x 400 m are achievable.
